Supplementary Education

Academic Support

We provide learning centres where young people are inspired to achieve. We do this by providing trained tutors to assist young people with their studies; we can also give advice and guidance on careers and higher education. We have laptops, revision books, books to borrow and printing services. We can also offer external work experience and committed young people can be matched with a mentor. We provide a service for 7-18 year olds in Southwark who need help and support with their studies or just a quiet place to study- a home from home. We are inclusive of all levels and abilities and have at least four tutors in centre at any time to offer academic support.

Our main criterion is if you live in social housing, a looked after child, receiving free school meals or young people who are EAL/have EAL parents. We do have secondary criteria that can be discussed on a case by case basis. Our centre has full provision for those with physical impairments. We are trained to work with students who may have special educational needs.
