The London Youth Games (LYG) is Europe's largest youth sports festival. It provides a season of events taking place over 9 months, across 30 different sports and is open to all 33 London Boroughs.
In 2017 Team Southwark took part in 26 sports, engaging over 1200 young people, winning two events (BMX and Male Para Football), and coming 2nd overall in a further two sports. Team Southwark finished 11th overall, one place up on last year.

We have had our first competition for 2018 in November, the LYG Cross-country competition. 48 young athletes from Southwark took on the challenging Parliament Hill course. Team Southwark under 13 boys and girls successfully winning bronze medals. We had further success winning an individual gold medal, boys’ team finishing 3rd, and overall being 6th place – a great result.
