Whippersnappers invite young people to attend a 10 week cooking course where they learn how to prepare a three course meal each week. The young people split into groups and take it in turns to prepare the starter, main meal and dessert. At the end of the session, everyone sits down to eat together.
Who is this service for?
An inclusive group for 12-25 year old with and without disabilities.
Every Wednesday for 10 weeks.
The course is run frequently. Contact Whippersnappers on 020 7738 6633 for more information.
Old College Gate
College lodge is fully accessible with a lift, changing bed, private garden and accessible kitchen for wheel chair user.
This is a universal service. Young people will need to be able to support themselves in the setting with the help of the main stream peer mentors. If this is not the case, parents/carers will need to provide a one to one support worker.
A contribution of £10 a session is recommended to cover the cost of the food but not compulsory. Families on low income may be exempt from payment.
Places can also be paid for by exchanging skills through the Whippersnapper time banking scheme.
