Inclusive centre environment offering all local babies, children, young people and their families sessional activities, courses, daycare and outreach and support. www.coinstreet.org
Who is the service for?
Babies, children, young people and their parents/carers who live in the north of Southwark and Lambeth.
Criteria for access to service
This is generally a universal service - there are no criteria. We provide for all areas of need and levels of need. Some sessions have specific target age groups or cater for specific needs. Many courses/play sessions are open access, on a first come first served basis. All are welcome to join in!
Accessibility of this service
The Coin Street neighbourhood centre is fully accessible for those with mobility issues or wheelchairs. We aim to be a fully inclusive service and, as such, staff are happy to discuss needs with those who wish to access our programme.
How this is provided:
- Universal access sessions – Monday - Saturday
- Targeted groups and courses
- 1-2-1 meetings / home visits from our family support team
- Specialist casework support
- Centre open 51 weeks a year
- Daycare open 8am – 6pm; Holiday Playscheme same hours during school holidays
- Parenting courses and basic skills/vocational courses supported by crèche provision
- Family learning workshops
- Daycare facilitated by highly qualified staff and children with additional needs are further supported by our Inclusion co-ordinator
- Youth groups, dance sessions, girls group held weekly after school
