Breastfeeding Support Group
Breastfeeding Support Drop ins provide a safe and comfortable environment where pregnant and breastfeeding women and people are supported to start and continue breastfeeding.
All pregnant women and breastfeeding people are welcome, and a referral is not required.
The sessions are run as drop-ins, meaning you do not need an appointment, by the Health Visiting team in Southwark alongside Breastfeeding Network peer supporters, on the following days/ locations:
- Mondays 10am - 12pm (arrive by 1.30pm) at 1st Place Children and Parent’s Centre, 12 Chumleigh Street, Walworth, SE5 0RN, Tel: 020 7740 8070
- Tuesdays 10am -12pm (arrive by 11.30am) at Crawford Primary School and Children’s Centre, Crawford Road, Camberwell, SE5 9NF, Tel: 020 7274 8543
- Wednesdays, 12-2pm (arrive by 1.30pm) at Dulwich Wood Children & Family Hub, Lyall Avenue, Dulwich, SE21 8QS - Tel: 020 7525 2017
- Thursdays 10am - 12pm (arrive by 11.30am) at Rotherhithe Children & Family Centre, Southwark Park (Hawkstone Rd entrance), SE16 2PF - Tel: 0207 358 2878
- Fridays 10am - 12pm (arrive by 11.30am) at Rye Oak Children’s and Family Centre, Whorlton Road, Peckham, SE15 3PD - Tel: 020 3848 5780
*Please aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before the end of the session if you require breastfeeding support.
If you require more targeted support you can receive specialist support by referral from your health visitor or midwife on the following days/ locations by appointment only:
- Mondays at Tessa Jowell Health Centre
- Tuesdays at Dulwich Wood Children & Family Hub
- Wednesdays at Aylesbury Health Centre
- Thursdays at Coin Street Children and Family Centre
