Lewisham Deaf Children's Society
Are you the parent or carer of a child who is deaf or has a hearing impairment? Do you live in or around the Lewisham area?
Lewisham DCS was formed by parents to support families in the Lewisham area. The group provides a place for parents, carers and family members to meet and chat in a relaxed environment whilst the children learn and have fun.
The sessions currently consist of sing and sign, arts and crafts, free play with toys and paints. As well as fun things for the children to do we also provide information about all aspects of hearing impairment for parents and where possible offer a member from the NDCS to give advice and support for families regarding issues around deafness.
We currently run a monthly Saturday drop in that runs from 2-4pm. We have arts and crafts, sing and sign, storytelling (BSL and spoken English)
