The Neurodiversity Family Hub

The Neurodiversity Family Hub provides services to Children and Young People with neurodiversity and their families, including:

  • Weekly youth clubs & holiday clubs.
  • Advocacy for educational settings, and any statutory partners - local authorities, GP's, and any other linked organisations.
  • Companionship solidarity and commonality - finding a community that understands with themes
  • Parent circles for small groups of parents to find strategies and self care

Tiny Tribe

What : A community Play Group 0-5 years for the entire community
Date: Wednesday - Term Time
Time: 10am-12pm
Where : Mint Street Adventure play ground – Ground Floor

My Tribe Junior

What : A safe and quiet after school space for Neurodiverse Children
Date: Thursday Term Time
Time: 3:30-5:15pm
Where : Mint Street Adventure play ground – First Floor
Age
: 6-10 years old Neurodiverse kids – Parents can stay with the children or leave
SEND provision: SEND specialists adults accompanying the children (no one to one)

My Advocacy Partner

What: A 1:1 service with an expert providing specialist support for matters relating to schools, EHCP, learning plans, exclusions, diagnosis, specialist settings, and any other matters relating to statutory partners involved in your child's SEND.

A Walk and a Talk 

What: Come and join us for a walk & informal discussion if you want. Keep silent or share the joy and sorrows about parenting a neurodiverse child while exercising!

Where: Start from Mint Street Park

When: 2nd Thursdays of the month

Coffee Connect 

What? Come & share a cup of coffee or tea with other parents and carers of children with a neurodiversity (diagnosed or not) and have an informal chat and find your community.

When? 1st Friday of the month - 8:30-10:30

We also have an open door policy at our office on a Friday morning from 9-10:30am for a cuppa and a chat, just drop by (term time only). WELCOME.

Where?At our office on 56 Southwark Bridge Road - SE1 0AS (near Borough tube, London Bridge, Southwark Station, Elephant and Castle and not far from Waterloo - Accessible by bus)

Parent Circle-Group Coaching Course

What:  A 6-week programme inspired by positive psychology for up to 8 parents to create a bespoke practical tool kit to use and reuse for your sustained well-being. Guided by an expert coach who will facilitate how to reach your objectives as a family.

Where: Mint Street Adventure Playground, Community Centre (Upstairs)

When: Wednesday 6.45-8.30 pm 

Speaker Sessions

What: Each Quarter we will host an evening of knowledge, community and power. Leading experts in the field will deliver talks on a variety of topics, ensuring we keep you in the know and find the opportunity to seek solace in our chosen family!

Where: Mint Street Adventure Playground, Community Centre (Upstairs)

When: Thursdays, 4 times a year 7-9pm  

Wisdom and Wonder

What? A lunch time talk with other parents and carers of children with a neurodiversity (diagnosed or not). We will discuss specific themes with some experts or your own expertise. Themes will be published in advance. Please do not hesitate in sharing any requests for themes.

When?Third Friday of the month - 12:30-13:30

Family Connect

What : A Sunday Gathering where families with neurodiverse children come together to bond and Thrive
Date: Sunday – Once a month
Time: 2:00-4:00pm
Where : Mint Street Adventure play ground All building + outdoor
Age: The entire family with one or more neurodiverse children/teens
SEND provision: SEND specialists adults accompanying / Parents responsible for their children

Accessibility 

We are accessible for most neurodiversity and can facilitate for physical disability users too. Our venue does have lift access where required.

Cost

We provide a sliding scale membership and have grants available for families on low income or benefits, we will also ensure all families who need us can access us. So please contact us for further information.
