Our inclusive Summer Term Spectacular sessions will provide a safe and supportive environment for SEND children and young people.  

Whether it’s arts and crafts, drama, dance or inclusive Sports – then our Superstar sessions are the place to be in Southwark over the Summer holidays.  

Our experienced team is focused on delivering sessions that promote fun and friendships.  

Our sessions are pre-bookable only so we can ensure we can provide an excellent level of care with a staff ratio of 1:3.  


Ages 8-4:   25th July – 2nd September: Monday to Wednesday 

Ages 14-19:   25th July – 2nd September: Thursdays & Fridays

Support provided

Our 1:3 staff to participant ratio ensures we can support a wide range of disabilities and additional needs in our accessible venues.

Please note we are NOT CQC registered therefore do not provide personal care or administer medication

Eligibility criteria

  • Children and young people up to 19 years of age and living in the borough of Southwark
  • Must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
  • Unable to access universal services due to their level of need and/or require some support
  • Must have an education place, funded by Southwark Council at a special school or a mainstream school with specialist resource base, in the borough.

This year's Summer of Food & Fun programme runs from Monday 25th July-Friday 26th August. 39 providers will be running free holiday clubs for children and young people between the ages of 4 – 16 years at 55 locations across the borough.

About the food and fun programme and who it’s for

We want to help local families who are in need of additional support to get free, healthy food and fun activities. These are aimed at children and young people aged between 4 and 16 years.

Each programme will provide:

  • free, nutritious and tasty food
  • fun physical activity sessions
  • a wide range of other exciting activities to suit different ages and personalities
  • opportunities to learn more about food and nutrition for children and their families

SportWorks provides sport and exercise services, which are fully inclusive and enable all members of society to benefit. Since 2018, the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has provided support to children in receipt of free school meals through holiday periods. This holiday provision is for school aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals. See details below:

Nimble Arts is a drop-off holiday club for 4-11 year olds offering flexible creative childcare from 8am – 6:30pm at Goodrich Primary, SE22 0EP. We are a team of qualified educational professionals providing children with the opportunity to explore a new theme every day through visits from special guests and a range of creative arts workshops. Children are looked after in small groups by experienced and qualified key workers.

Book 1-5 days a week flexibly at a cost of £54 per standard day (8:00 – 9:30am drop-off and 3:30 – 5:00pm pick up) with optional extension to 6:30pm (£6.50 per child). BOYS & GIRLS (5 to 12 years old) JAGS Sports Club Astro Pitch

Focused on building confidence and technical skill, our holiday sessions held at a number of different locations throughout Dulwich are a much-loved part of the Football Magic Coaching experience. 

Our holiday football schools are dedicated to teaching children from the age of 5 to 12 years old.

Holiday courses consist of lots of technical drills and all holiday football camps involve many fun football related games & tournaments, penalty shoot out fun shooting games just to mention a few. 

We endeavour to give every child the same chance to improve their skills and knowledge of the game as well as nurturing their individual talents through carefully planned and structured sessions so that the children learn while having fun with friends in our fun-filled environment.

Our football holiday camps are run by F.A. qualified coaches all of who have a minimum of Level one football coaching qualification, they are all DBS checked and first aid trained.

All participants must bring a packed lunch, plenty of fluid, change of clothes, appropriate footwear (moulded boots or trainers) and wear shin pads.

Surface: Astro synthetic surface (NO METAL studded boots) / Rubber moulded boots or trainers only

What to bring: For morning and afternoon bookings only please ensure your child has plenty of fluids, a snack, shin pads and change of clothing if weather is looking temperamental. For all day attendees please bring all the above plus a packed lunch (not nuts)

About London South Bank University Holiday Sports Camps

LSBU Active offers a holiday Sports Camps programme for children in the local community. We cater for children aged 5 (and in Year 1 of school) to 11 years old.  We can accept 12/13 year olds as well.

The holiday sports camps not only introduce your child to new sports activities, they boost your child's physical activity, health, development and social skills.

We offer a range of fun and engaging activities such as dance, mini tennis, athletics, football, basketball, and much more. We will end each day with free choice, so your child has the chance to try new activities!

Our holiday sports camps are open Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

We will be hosting the camps at our facility on London Road - LSBU Hub, 116-119 London Road, SE1 6LN

Due to our Ofsted regulations, children must be in Year 1 of school. We cannot accept any bookings for children who are 5 and in reception.

Heart n Soul's Allsorts is our creative taking part project for adults with learning disabilities (aged 18+).

It’s a place where you can try new activities, learn new skills and meet new people in a safe and friendly atmosphere. Take part in a range of different sessions every season where you decide what to do. Everyone is welcome!

Who is it for?

Free to Southwark residents whose child has an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), or if your child attends one of the following schools: Spa School Camberwell, Cherry Garden, Haymerle, Beormund, Newlands Academy, Highshore School, Spa School Bermondsey, Tuke School.

Booking is essential. Once you have booked, we will be in touch by email or telephone to complete the registration. We will need your child's name, age, special needs, etc). Plus, we will need the name of the parent or carer and any siblings attending.

Please bring a packed lunch. Snacks will be provided.
