Special Educational Needs Team
Our team takes on many different roles including, processing requests for statutory assessment, conducting statutory assessment, attending annual reviews, over see transitions and placements & coproduction of EHCPs/issuing EHCPs. Our services are for parents and Young People with Special Educational Needs or Disability aged 0-25 who are Southwark residents.
How can I access this service?
Parents/Carers & Young People with statements/EHCP’s can contact the SEN Team by phone, email or attend the SEN drop in services – no appointment necessary, call and speak to a member of the team or email us.

The service is funded by Southwark Council and is a statutory part of the Councils Children’s and Adults Team so it is a free service. The service is confidential and you will be asked for permission for us to speak with professionals on your behalf/share information.
Request for Translation and Interpreting Service
The council is committed to providing a free translation and interpreting service to those residents who need it to access essential council services and who cannot get help from family and friends.
The service has access to experienced interpreters and translators in over 70 languages, covering all communication needs including language, face-to-face and telephone interpreting, and the provision of important information in large print, audio and Braille.
Telephone interpreting service is available at short notice and can be requested by contacting your EHC Plan Coordinator. Alternatively, if you do not know the name of your coordinator, you can contact the team by email email@example.com or phone 0207 525 4278.
