The council is committed to providing a free translation and interpreting service to those residents who need it to access essential council services and who cannot get help from family and friends.
The service has access to experienced interpreters and translators in over 70 languages, covering all communication needs including language, face-to-face and telephone interpreting, and the provision of important information in large print, audio and Braille.
Telephone interpreting service is available at short notice and can be requested by contacting your EHC Plan Coordinator. Alternatively, if you do not know the name of your coordinator, you can contact the team by email SEN@southwark.gov.uk or phone 0207 525 4278.
