Community Special Care Dentistry service
Age Range: All ages
The Service: We provide a full range of dental treatment and oral healthcare for patients whom treatment by a general dental practice is unsuitable.
Who is the service for?
We see people who have one or more of the following:
- Physical disability
- Complex medical condition
- Sensory disability
- Learning disability
- Autism/autistic spectrum disorder
- Children under 16 who are uncooperative
- Severe mental health condition
We see patients who have a phobia or severe anxiety about dental treatment only if they have other conditions that make them eligible for treatment by our service
Criteria for access to service
As above and for clients who live in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bexley, Greenwich, Croydon, Richmond, Kingston, Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth
Accessibility of this service
The service is provided at 26 community based health centres and sites in South East and South West London, including our mobile dental unit.

We are a team of dental specialists who provide:
- A full range of dental treatment and oral healthcare for whom treatment by a general dental practice is unsuitable
How can I access this service?
We take referrals from dentist’s, GP’s, other dental hospitals, social services, voluntary sector agencies and other healthcare professionals including carers
