Bromley Deaf Children's Society

Are you the parent or carer of a child who is deaf or has a hearing impairment? Do you live in or around Bromley?

BDCS aims to provide a network of support for individual families with issues ranging from diagnosis through to educational concerns.

We provide support through:

subsidised social activities and outings;
a quarterly newsletter;
our monthly Saturday club.

As a committed group of parents, carers and teachers, we try to do things in a positive, fun and lively way. Our informal meetings are attended by parents/carers, deaf adults from the community and deaf tutors and teachers from local schools.

The meetings provide a setting to get to know people in and around the area, develop friendships and express concerns and worries.

Our Saturday Club has proved to be extremely popular, providing a place for parents/carers to meet and chat in a relaxed environment while the children play. Various activities are provided for all ages. This includes a bouncy castle, children's entertainer, arts and crafts, football/snooker, face-painting and more. The club is held at Greystones Scout Hut, Pine Avenue, West Wickam from 2pm to 4:30pm.

If you're interested in attending our meetings or joining us at the Saturday club, please get in touch. Contact Debra Wakeman, 0208 249 2940, 07752 544 216, bromley@ndcsgroup.org.uk
