Tower Hamlets Deaf Children's Society

Are you the parent or carer of a child who is deaf or has a hearing impairment? Do you live in or around Tower Hamlets?

Tower Hamlets Deaf Children's Society (THDCS) is run by a committee of volunteers. We are parents of Deaf children, working with local professionals to support families in Tower Hamlets. We believe Deaf children should be valued by society and have the same opportunities as any other child.

We are a support network who strives to support Deaf children, young people and their families. We offer help to parents and families to connect and support each other and help those who are isolated within the community. We encourage Deaf children on building self - esteem and a strong positive Deaf identity.

Tower Hamlets Deaf Children's Society aims to;
Make sure that there are appropriate services available for the Deaf children and their families.
Give Deaf children a sense of belonging within the community, by organising events an providing them with relevant support.

We organise regular events in order to meet, chat and entertain the children and adults. From picnics, coffee mornings to days out together.
