In this section you will find a variety of fun groups, clubs and organised activities that are accessible to children of all ages with a variety of needs.


SENsational Stay & Play sessions are now available across Southwark for children with additional needs/ disabilities and their parents and carers.  Click here for further details.

These sessions are exclusively for children and families with neurodiverse conditions who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.

The Neurodiversity Family Hub provides services to Children and Young People with neurodiversity and their families, including:

Tiny Tribe

What: A playgroup for babies and toddlers aimed at parents who may already know their child has a need or parents who think their child has a need.  We are open to all but will provide support and advice to those at the beginning of their journey.

When: Wednesdays 9 – 12 pm. Start Date: 1/11/23

My Tribe Senior

What: A youth centre for year 6 (primary transition)-12 secondary school-aged people, to come along and play games, homework support, and meet new friends: They will also have opportunities to enter the adventure playground at designated points.

When: Wednesdays 3.30-6.30 pm. Start Date 27/09/23

My Tribe Junior

What: A youth centre for year 2-5 primary school-aged people, to come along and play games, homework support, and meet new friends and other activities too: If they are above 8 years old, they will also have opportunities to enter the adventure playground at designated points.

Where: Mint Street Adventure Playground, Community Centre (Upstairs)

When: Thursdays - 3.15-5.00 pm. Start Date: 28/09/23

Stories with a Twist

What: Stories with a twist will explore fiction and nonfiction including neurodiverse characters to learn the values of acceptance and understanding. Let’s celebrate and embrace our differences. Come to this story time to discover strategies for emotional well-being, anger & stress management, and calming strategies. Here we will also give over time to connect our experiences with those of our characters in an age-appropriate way.

Southwark's Play Service offers a free, exclusive session for children with autism or a learning disability and their parent/carers at Peckham Rye Park Adventure Playground on Sundays 11am-2pm (term time only). 

Available for ages 8 to 15. 

The Salmon Youth Centre's doors are open to all young people, from all backgrounds, between six and 25 years old. Please click on the service you are interested in to find out if it is available to your age group.


We provide:
• ‘Mixables’ youth club
• Holiday Trips
• The Connect 2 Befriending scheme for 14-18 year olds

Disabled Young People or those with Special Educational Needs aged 12-18, living in Southwark.


Young people must be registered disabled or have a special educational needs statement and ideally have a designated social worker.

Our building is fully wheelchair accessible, our staff are all experienced in working with disabled young people and we have achieved the ‘Inclusive and Active 2’ standard mark as an organisation.

We provide a minibus pick up from Spa school to Mixables club and can provide lifts home (to homes in Southwark) if young people can’t be picked up or travel home independently.

• Mixables Club at the Salmon Youth Centre every term time Friday 3.30-5.30pm.
• Day and residential trips during the school holidays which must be booked in advance.
• Connect 2 Befriending scheme – an adult volunteer will meet up with a young person every fortnight to go out and do fun things as well as learn independence skills.

By being referred by your social worker / teacher or health professional.

The service is funded by Southwark Council

We are over seen by a board of trustees who hold us to our mission statement which is ‘To inspire young people to realise their potential, to contribute positively to the communities in which they live and to discover meaning and direction for their lives.’ Therefore you can be assured that we will always work with the good of the young people and families as our highest priority.

All Aboard Club
All Aboard Play Session

All Aboard Club runs inclusive play sessions for autistic and ADHD children, where they can build and play with our huge train sets in a safe and understanding environment. All Aboard Club is run by experts with lived and professional of autism and ADHD, so we understand the children and how to provide a suitable environment to allow them to play together and develop their social and communication skills. 

All Aboard Club runs play sessions at a number of venues across London.

Tickets are on sale on our website at the above link. Parents/carers get in to our event free. Prices vary depending on the venue and event. We offer discounts for families with unwaged parents.

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community organisation based Rotherhithe, Canada Water and Bermondsey. Set in a leafy heritage venue in an old mortuary (which is much nicer than it sounds!), as well as in T&T2, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, Time & Talents has something for everyone.

Community learning and leisure

Our community programme offers a wealth of informal community learning and social opportunities, including gardening, crafts, chess and mindfulness, plus a wide range of hosted activities.

For Children and Families

Across our two venues – The Old Mortuary near Rotherhithe tube station, and T&T2 in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre – we have a wide range of super fun activities for kids of all ages, from tiny ones to teenagers.

We run everything from play groups and school holiday activity clubs, to nature-based learning groups for little ones. And all activities for kids and families are absolutely FREE!

Supersmashers is a free art and play project for looked-after children aged 6-12 living in Southwark. Running since September 2012, the project includes weekly after-school art sessions and family trips every school holiday.

How is the service provided?

Sessions run 4-5.30pm on Monday during term time at the South London Gallery. We also have half term and holiday sessions available on first-come-first-served basis!
