This session will focus on showing how to correctly record problem behaviour on an ABC chart. There will be a quick overview of the functions of behaviour, what information should be included on ABC charts and how we can link information collected to the function of problem behaviour to form a hypothesis.

This is an introductory module to autism. The module supports delegates in developing their awareness, understanding, and acceptance of autistic children. The module supports participants in identifying reasonable adjustments that can make a difference to autistic children, as well as in developing a one-page profile.

This training is for all staff, those working directly with children, but also, managers, proprietors, office staff, caterers, caretakers, and governors.

This is a module for delegates who work directly with autistic children, and it provides guidance on processes and tools that can help participants to implement good autism practice both in terms of their own individual practice and in terms of making adaptations to the learning environment.

This is an informal drop–in session aimed at those Teaching Assistants who support autistic pupils. Each session will offer a brief introduction to the focus topic, then facilitate discussion amongst the attendees.  The aim is to create a supportive space for staff to meet, learn and share inclusive autism practice so all pupils can thrive.

We have included the AST Request for Support (RFS) form for you to download here (docx, 2.8mb).

Requests must come only from the school. In order for the AST to provide support the child must have a formal diagnosis of Autism. The form must be completed in full, with a parent signature and emailed to AutismSupportTeam@southwark.gov.uk

Please note that all referrals are allocated on a fortnightly basis and someone will contact you within 2 weeks of submitting the request to agree the next steps.
